- My family and I have been recycling for more than 20 years. We ate a vegetarian diet for 6 years or so to reduce our impact on planet Earth. I became interested in Tupperware when I discovered that 40% of what is in landfills is veggies... not veggie scraps... but veggies that never got eaten, and that using Tupperware FridgeSmart Containers we can significantly reduce that veggie waste. So now we have containers to store our produce in, but what about all those plastic bags we use transporting our lettuce and carrots home from the store? Once we get our veggies home we don't need the plastic bags any more... so why get them to begin with?
